Epicurean Sofrito 30g

Sofrito is a building block of Mediterranean cuisine and is found in many of the signature dishes the societies surrounding this body of water have produced.There is something about onions, celery and carrots that universally warms the soul.

“Sofrito” snuff is made from Burley tobacco and is flavoured with garlic, onions, peppers, carrots, celery and bay leaves. It can accompany any Mediterranean oven-braised meal such as Osso Bucco, Spaghetti Bolognese, Boeuf Bourguignon or, even, Paella Valenciana. I even like it with Stroganoff! “Sofrito” compliments the tannic reds these regions produce and some of their heartier whites. I find it also well-suited to tomato-based broths and enhances the enjoyment of Bouillabaisse in all of its local incarnations.
