Gawith Hoggarth Café Regal offers another fine blend with a bitter sweet bouquet of fermented tobaccos and coffee. A taste of molasses or rum runs over the sharp edge of black coffee to deliver a mellow creamy taste that is easy to take. Dark in color and coarse in grind, this snuff delivers tingle to the nose and a nice nicotine rush. A very pleasant way to greet any day. Try some soon.

Available in a variety of convenient container sizes.

Not really coffee scented per se, but a "coffee liqueur" flavored

This is the first Gawith Hoggarth snuff I've tried, and have quickly ordered 2 more varieties. After breaking the vacuum seal you're met with a strong ammonia hit and a sweet, slightly syrupy smell. The color is a darker brown, maybe leaning a bit reddish-brown. It is decently moist, too. I'm not sure what to make of the smell but coffee is certainly not one of the things that comes to mind. Middle of the road grind, stem base - it's a bit more coarse than, say, Wilson's typical grind. Good burn and solid nicotine hit, maybe 7.5/10 - not ridiculously strong but you can certainly feel the pulse in your nostrils and a good heady buzz. I believe this is from the ammonia still being present as it stays in better being vacuum sealed. I want to say it's almost a floral essence or vanilla bean mixed with a good tobacco base After doing some googling trying to figure it out, an old descriptor back when it was called G. Smith & Sons' Cafe Royale / Covent Brand Cafe Royale is that it is Tia Maria flavored which is a coffee liqueur which was originally made with Jamaican coffee beans, but now made in Italy with Jamaican rum, vanilla, and sugar blended with 20% alcohol. Aha! Now it all makes sense. One thing I like about Gawith snuffs is they really stimulate the sneezing which I don't get from many snuffs.
